Youth who have school savings are almost four times more likely to attend a four-year college

BALTIMORE – College is expensive and most financial advisers will tell you the sooner you save, the better. September is College Savings Month and we wanted to give you some tips on ways to save.

Joan Marshall, the Executive Director of College Savings Plans of Maryland was a guest on Good Morning Maryland at 9. She broke down different options for parents who want to save for their child’s education. She recommends plans offered by the state of Maryland to provide families with two flexible and tax-advantaged options they can use to confidently start saving for their child’s education.
