Carroll Hospital Foundation came to Devaney & Associates with a question: how can we create a steady stream of philanthropic giving within the community—even when we’re not in campaign mode?
Together, we created CareSquare, a formal partnership program between the Foundation and the local business community—the likes of which had never been seen before in the health care industry.
Businesses that enroll are designated as “hotspots” where community members can take advantage of special offers and events to support the hospital and its affiliates.
The Foundation also provides a host of marketing support services to each business in exchange for an annual giving commitment.
In the first year, CareSquare enrolled more than 55 member businesses, including major brands like M&T Bank, BB&T, Tevis Energy, and Weis Markets, and raised nearly $1.2 million in donations.
